Children and Young People

The Parish has a thriving Children's Liturgy which takes place on Sunday mornings during term time at 10.15am Mass at St. Joseph's, Milford, and welcomes all primary school age children. Click here for further information.

The First Holy Communion programme takes place every year for children from the parish who are in school Year 4 or above (i.e. turning 9 years old). Regular meetings are scheduled between September and April/May for children and parents, which take place at St. Edmund's Primary School. The children also regularly contribute to Mass at St. Joseph's.

The programme for First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion for 2011-2012 can be downloaded here.

For more information about the FHC programme, please contact Sarah Stilwell 01483 423996.

On the third Saturday of each month, a Youth Mass takes place at St. Edmund at 6pm. Our young people take an active part in Welcoming, the Offertory procession and singing / playing an instrument.

The Youth Group meets for a social 'get-together' once a month in the Parish Room after the Youth Mass. Activities have included cooking, arts and crafts, quizzes and games.

Confirmation - Each year, a number of young people from the Parish are confirmed at Worth Abbey.

If your child is a practising Catholic in school Year 10 and wishes to be confirmed in 2012, then please contact Andy Poulsom on 01483 420206 to register. A meeting will be held in the new year to outline the course programme and the sessions will begin at the end of January.
